<image:caption>In 2020, it is estimated that approximately 17,500 Venezuelans will flee the country per day. As corruption, state sponsored violence, and economic collapse create turmoil throughout the nation, the time for direct aid is now.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Though raising awareness and providing aid will directly mitigate the suffering of Venezuelans today, only long term political and economic reform can create a permanent solution to the problems Venezuela is facing today.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - Raising Awareness</image:title>
<image:caption>Despite being in the midst of one of the worst humanitarian catastrophes in the world, international organizations, countries around the world, and everyday people often turn a blind eye towards the crisis. One of the initiatives of The Venezuela Project is to raise global awareness of the true severity of the situation.</image:caption>

<image:title>Our Vision - Our Mission The Venezuela Project is a U.S. based initiative created to combat the current humanitarian crisis in Venezuela and to help those most impacted. Our mission is three fold; firstly, to raise awareness about the crisis in Venezuela and bring attention to the true severity of the problems Venezuelans face in their everyday lives. Secondly, is to use fundraising and donations to provide direct humanitarian assistance to Venezuelans who lack basic necessities via international and local aid distribution groups. This includes food, medicine, clothing, school supplies, and other highly needed goods. Lastly, we attempt to partner with local and international human rights advocates to protect basic human rights, such as the right to free elections, access to a fair trial and legal defense, etc. It is through these that we hope to create long term economic and political reform. Overall, The Venezuela Project’s intent is to do all we can to mitigate the suffering felt by Venezuelan’s today. What We Do The Venezuela Project uses a variety of fundraising methods to provide highly needed aid to as many people as possible whilst simultaneously pursuing long term governmental reform that can help solve the root cause of the crisis. Using your donations, we are able to partner with larger non-profit organizations that can then send aid to local allies in the region who are able to use your donations to make a tangible change in the lives of those who need it most.</image:title>

<image:title>Our Team - David Eick is a high school student at Campbell Hall Episcopal in California. He is an avid participant in high school Speech and Debate, which is the means by which he learned about the crisis in Venezuela, and where he found his passion for attempting to alleviating it. He hopes that through his efforts in The Venezuela Project, he might be able to accomplish his goal.</image:title>

      <image:title>Why Us - The Trust Factor</image:title>
<image:caption>In an age where even the most prestigious charity organizations are being accused of embezzlement and profiting off of donations meant to reduce suffering around the world, The Venezuela Project provides a resource than is becoming increasingly harder to obtain; trust. The Venezuela Project uses an intense vetting process of cross referencing our partners through numerous vetting organizations as well as an independent investigation to ensure that none of your money falls into the hands of those who would misuse it. In short, we do the research for you. Moreover, with 100% transparency, you know exactly where you money goes, and how it’s used. The Venezuela Project provides the trust factor in ensuring your donations actually help those who are suffering right now, not into the pockets of a rich corporation.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Why Us - A Three Part Solution</image:title>
<image:caption>Whereas the vast majority of charities specialize in one unique goal, The Venezuela Project prioritizes three unique initiatives; raising awareness, providing direct aid, and protecting civil rights that allow for a possibility of long term reform. That’s because all three are needed to accomplish any real reduction in the suffering Venezuelans are facing today. Without our first initiative, adequate awareness, the amount of aid that Venezuela needs will never be met, meaning that widespread suffering will continue. Without our second initiative, direct aid, millions will go hungry every day, but moreover, Venezuelans across the country have reported that because they have no food, and no energy, it is impossible for them to join the opposition movement or protest for human rights, meaning widespread suffering will continue. Finally, without our third initiative, advocating for Venezuela’s civil rights, such as the right to vote, a fair trial, etc. any mitigation in the problems facing Venezuela today will reappear tomorrow, meaning widespread suffering will continue. The Venezuela Project ensures that your donation is used to most optimally reduce the magnitude of the crisis in Venezuela.</image:caption>
